Ahmad Tavakoly, PhD

Dr. Tavakoly is a Research Hydraulic Engineer in the Coastal and Hydraulic Laboratory (CHL). Dr. Tavakoly's work in the area of continental-scale river flow modeling has been a cornerstone in the field of hydrologic science. His research interests include continental scale hydrological Modeling, real-time and short-to medium-term streamflow prediction, compound flooding, high resolution flood mapping, atmosphere-biosphere & human interactions, operational support systems, GIS in hydrology, and surface water quality. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
